I am very sad to announce the death of the Berlin actor SEBASTIAN FISCHER (September 2, 1928 - October 17, 2018). He was the German voice dub for PETER O'TOOLE, starting in 1962 and doing such a fantastic job, he continued to dub for him right through to 1972, notably in 'LAWRENCE OF ARABIA' (1962), 'LORD JIM' (1965), 'WHAT´S NEW PUSSYCAT?' (1965) and 'THE NIGHT OF THE GENERALS' (1966). He also previously dubbed for RICHARD BURTON in the first CinemaScope movie: 'THE ROBE' (1953). Like Peter, he was a great theatre actor, contributing to the legendary Gustaf Gründgens´ staging of 'FAUST II', appearing with Oskar Werner´s big love, Antje Weisgerber. In the industry, Sebastian Fischer was regarded as a 'Kammerschauspieler' ('Chamber Actor') and also played the lead role in the movie 'HOTEL ADLON' (1955, produced by Artur Brauner). Rest in peace, Sebastian!
